Blackpool Reach South West Challenge Cup Final

Blackpool have reached the final of the South West Challenge Cup after a hard fought 2-1 win over Leyton Orient.

Blackpool took the lead in the 23rd minute when Neal Eardley played a perfect through ball to Francis Jeffers who finished coolly.

But just before the break Scott McGleish rose high to head home an equaliser for Orient.

Blackpool dominated the second half creating many chances but failed to score, but on ninety minutes Pool had a free kick, from the resulting kick Charlie Adams struck the bar but Ian Evatt was on the spot to head home the winner.

Shrewsbury defeated Havant and Waterlooville in the other semi , but they decided to pull out of the tournament which means that Blackpool will now face Havant and Waterlooville in the final.
